Modernizing Hotel Lobbies
I read an article in USA Today recently about how major hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt are updating the feel and look of their hotel lobbies so that their guests are more comfortable, productive and happy, which is great for travelers!
As I was reading the article, I wasn’t surprised that these brands are also using modern furniture to spice up the experience of their customers. In reality, almost anything is going to be better than the pastel patterned furniture that was prominent in the ’80s and ’90s, but I’m glad to see that the people in charge of hospitality for these big brands are making strides to be in line with the trends of today.
It’s not only hotels, but I’ve been seeing more and more businesses and organizations with common rooms opting to use a modern style for these spaces. And why wouldn’t they? Modern furniture stylistically has become widely sought after recently, and has a timeless feel to it. I can imagine that these types of organizations will continue to focus more on what makes people happy, and right now, modern furniture is the thing that’s going to make people more comfortable.
